Sabaton has released a previously unseen behind-the-scenes video of the filming of the music video for "Templars ," their latest single. The band filmed the "Templars" video in two historic castles in Serbia — the Belgrade Fortress (Kalemegdan Park) and the Smederevo Fortress — taking advantage of the imposing settings to recreate epic battles with rich detail.

“It was the first time we fought to the death in front of the cameras, and we think we did well!”, the band commented on social media. Joakim Brodén (vocals), Pär Sundström (bass), Chris Rörland and Thobbe Englund (guitars) and Hannes Van Dahl (drums) also thanked the team involved, who took care of costumes, makeup, fight choreography, filming and direction.

“Templars” is part of Sabaton’s upcoming studio album, which hasn’t been officially announced yet but is expected in 2025. Sabaton will also release the track on a special 12-inch vinyl on June 27th, with a limited run of only 1,000 copies worldwide.

In a recent interview with El Cuartel Del Metal , Brodén explained the band's move to the Better Noise Music label after 15 years with Nuclear Blast. According to him, the decision was strategic, focused on expanding the band's reach, and without any hard feelings.

Sabaton writes songs inspired by wars, historical battles, and heroic acts, combining history with catchy riffs. Throughout their career, the group has amassed billions of streams, as well as gold and platinum certifications and sold-out tours.

In November, Sabaton kicks off "The Legendary Tour," with 20 dates across Europe. The show will feature the Legendary Orchestra and other surprises, promising a grand celebration for fans of the Swedish band.
